FiftyNiner Vintage Custom R2S

The FiftyNiner is our take on the highly desired P.A.F. Humbucker as used in the sunburst Les Paul Standard from 1957-1960. We wind and build our FiftyNiners with 50’s spec butyrate bobbins, rough cast Alnico bar magnets, long-leg nickel silver baseplates, steel polescrews and slugs, maple spacers and braided hookup wire.

This set of handwound, handbuilt P.A.F. style humbuckers has aged steel Pole Screws, double cream butyrate bobbins and hand polished raw nickel covers. The Vintage Custom aging to the hand polished covers was done so that the pickups look like a well taken care of late 1950's era P.A.F.s. They look vintage but not thrashed or heavily corroded.

As far as output, this set is definitely in that vintage zone. Not too hot, nice and airy with great clarity with excellent string separation and definition while still capable of rocking out. Very versatile set best paired in solid body single cut or semi-hollow body style guitars.
