Top Wraps... How do we cross that bridge? | The FiftyNiner Winder Show S01E02

In this episode, we get better guitar playing audio by using a condenser mic onto the Deville’s 10” Creamback Speaker with a bit of camera audio blended in for a bit of room in the mix. It’s not pro, but it’s better than the last episode so hey! Making progress.Really want to make sure this channel has something to offer than isn’t already overly done on Youtube as much as I can. This video may not be that, but it is a topic that has come up with some locals that have brought me guitars for setups. That is the TOP WRAP. I give my observations and approach to Top Wrapping from years of setting up Gibsons and other guitars with the 2-piece bridge & tailpiece setup.

That’s about it, pretty simple one.The rig rundown for this one is as follows: 2012 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Gold Top loaded with FiftyNiner Vintage Customs (Rough Cast Alnico 2 Magnets) into my smaller gigging pedalboard. The pedals running were the Bogner Ecstasy Blue with boost ON, and an EarthQuaker Dispatch Master for a bit of reverb and soft delay. I’m running the guitar volume at around 3-4 to start for a nice gritty clean and roll it on towards the end going into pretty high gain for that setup. All that is going into the clean channel on the Fender Hot Rod Deville with the EQ set pretty flat - all at 4.
