Got a Donner T-Style project guitar in for a build, but there's a major flaw on the neck...

This Donner guitar was purchased by a friend at an auction for $37.50 CAD. It was painted by a riend of his who is an artist and loves to paint. He sent it home with me to assemble it and make it playable if possible.
