ABR-1 conversion post project "gone wrong" FIXED!!
Share
This is a quick bonus episode to close the issue from the previous video about the ABR-1 conversion gone wrong. After looking at pricing and weighing the pros and cons of ordering Faber conversion posts at $40 USD plus shipping and duties and having to either mill out the holes on my existing Faber ABR1H bridge to fit 4mm posts like the ABR1N bridge, or buying a new Faber ABR1N bridge to match the conversion posts, I decided it was better to just plug the holes with some hard Maple, drill and tap new holes for 6-32 ABR-1 bridge posts and going with the Faber ABR-1 I already had on hand.
I think this ended up being the right solution. The guitar sounds better in the end.
Good enough for me!
