Aged or not Aged?

Currently, we only offer our flagship “PAF” spec humbuckers - the FiftyNiner Vintage Custom - in a hand-aged aesthetic… though we plan on offering that feature in our other pickups over time (just need to perfect the process). 

One question that comes up from time to time is “Should I get aged or non aged pickups?”.

While it’s ultimately up to personal preference, sometimes putting in shiny new pickups in a well loved guitar just doesn’t match the overall aesthetic. Installing our aged FiftyNiner Vintage Custom P.A.F. spec humbuckers in a guitar that’s weathered through the decades will give it that stock all original look and feel. 



Or maybe you’re converting your guitar to aged hardware for that vintage look and want a matching set of pickups to complete the project? This is where our aged pickups shine. Our FiftyNiner Vintage Customs come with hand-aged pole screws and hand-aged and hand-polished covers that have that well taken care of old "PAF" look and feel that continue to age uniquely with your playing.

If you’re not fussy about the aged look, our super clean looking FiftyNiner Custom has the exact same parts and materials as the Vintage Custom but with a polished looking Nickel Cover. Same great sound but with that brand new look that keep their shine for years.
